Hey!

Quite some time since I last wrote, my apologies. Today I’m going to tell you about a game my brother Jim and I created, we call it: Capture The Flag.

We tried it last night and it was a huge success. The game is played at Tallriken in Malmö with two versus two or three versus three (for now). There’s a red team and a blue team and the objective is to capture the other team’s flags. There are some rules which I will explain now:

  • If you have taken a flag you may not run or use your weapon.
  • If you have taken a flag your goal is to leave it at the drop point.
  • You may guard your team’s flags.
  • If you are in the No Man’s Land you may not stop walking/running at any time as this will be classed as camping.
  • You have a weapon that can be used two times each round, the weapon is not 100% finished yet but if you get hit with the weapon you must go to the drop point where the “Jail” is and then wait for a team mate to come rescue you. When you have been rescued, you have to get to your team’s starting location and after that you have life again and may continue play.
  • If you are hit by a weapon while carrying a flag, that flag is out of the game and your team have one less maximum point.
  • If the other team catches all the flags before your team they have automaticly won the match.
  • Each round is 30 minutes long.
  • If no team has caught all 4 flags during 30 minutes the players will meet in the middle to see who has won the game, the winner team is the team that has captured the most flags.
  • This is not a game for the “afraid of the dark” kind of people as this game is best played when it’s dark outside.

Tonight we will play again, and this time it will be three vs. three!

edit: We played and it was much more fun with 3 vs. 3 :-)

Modifications: at the drop point there is now a “Jail” and we removed all safe zones as it was impossible to catch the other teams flags if they were guarding them in their own territory (As the players who’s guarding them cannot be attacked in a so called safe zone).

If you live near Malmö and want to play this game with us, call: 0760153910, we need more participants!

Peace!
