The router has once again betrayed me

Hello people!

I thought id share my little incident yesterday… What an epic battle it was, oh yes.

I had been pestering my friend for a month so he could bring his computer to my apartment, which he did, finally. Everyone was excited, including Jim and Neyda because they also wanted to play all four on LAN (Local Area Network).

Jim had to do some more work so my friend and I started without him. We played DotA (A special map in Warcraft 3) and right in the middle of the game my friend gets disconnected from the game and we could also hear that Jim noticed something happened because he couldn’t use his internet nor could we.

After alot of trying and phone calls we couldn’t get it working so we narrowed the problem down to the router, which was not working (even on LAN). It is the THIRD time a router of mine stops working. Routers are also quite expensive and nothing you go out shop for every month.

Well, I had to save the LAN day so I found a spare router that the local area connection worked on, but no internet. It worked fine and we finally had some fun, playing starcraft and warcraft 3.

Now I’m sitting here with the net cable direct into the broadband socket without a working router. Which means there will be whining of who should have the internet later today. I’m therefore using it while I can, hopefully we will fix the problem.

    Ja, tog 3 timmar och fixa routern när Jim väl hade kommit hem med den också… Riktigt störigt. MGLinks.com finns inte längre, de var när jag skulle ha företag, hehe! :)

    Yes, now it is working again. Was very annoying for me.

    Funny when we called MKB support and the guy knew who I was.

    Du ska alltid planera in en extra dag för ett LAN, Planerar men att börja spela fredag ¨å möts man upp torsdag det går ALLTID en dag åt grejer som skiter sig..

    och händer inget tekniskt så e det något annat skit tex.. lyckades hälla en hel kanna kaffe på mitt tangentbord på vägen till LANet.. så klart var min dator spesiel så tog en fucking dag att ragga upp ett nytt.

    Hej Mimmi! Kul att du läser! Ja, de kommer att planeras hädanefter noggrant in i sista detalj för något sådant pallar man inte uppleva igen… Lite otur där med tangentbordet! :D
